We care and create a school culture where students feel belonged to a nurturing environment where faculty and staff support, challenge and engage them. We care to provide a strong curriculum where students grow academically, socially and spiritually
PRE SCHOOL CURRICULUM
HANDS ON ACTIVITIES
The learning environments in Preschool allow children to explore a new activity everyday. This exploration helps children to develop their fine and gross motor skills and improve social interaction. All activities are designed to enable students to become inquisitive, communicative and confident young learners. The developmentally appropriate activities are designed to promote cognitive, physical, social / emotional and language development in young preschoolers. We also gently introduce a foreign language, Mandarin, when they are 3 years old.
The curriculum framework employed at the school has six core learning areas: Maths, Language ( English, Bahasa, Mandarin ), Moral, Science, Health and Physical Education and Creative Arts – music, drama, dance and visual arts. Besides focusing on academic areas, our Kindergarten build upon the fun experiences gained in our Preschool. We offer a wide range of fun activities: paint, fine motor and gross motor activities, indoor and outdoor play, stories, music and role play.
PRIMARY SCHOOL CURRICULUM
Batari Primary School aims to make learning relevant and meaningful to students by adopting an inquiry-based, integrated curriculum which focuses on the child as a learner. We recognize that children come to us as distinct individuals with unique experiences, backgrounds, abilities and interests. Our teachers promote cross-cultural understanding, and differentiate instruction to meet students’ varying needs, abilities and learning styles. We provide a balanced education program within a safe, stimulating environment so that each child can learn and grow to their greatest potential.
JUNIOR HIGH CURRICULUM
One of our holistic learning approaches is “learning how to learn”, which empowers students the skill to develop different learning strategies. We encourage students to become fully-involved in school life by actively participating in our challenging academic curriculum as well as interdisciplinary projects, co-curricular activities and community involvement programs—all of which help them to develop the skills and qualities they will need in High School and beyond
HIGH SCHOOL CURRICULUM
The Senior High School curriculum is practical and experiential focusing on the need of their generation. Students are prepared to tackle the expected challenges of university life independently while at the same time be responsibly receptive of the unexpected changes in the future. It also aims to equip students with some skills to be part of the labour force in case they decide to support themselves while in university.
